At BCS Coldstore & Logistics, we can take care of the following VAL handling activities:

• Handling for storage purposes:
  • Palletising
  • Sorting
  • Strapping
  • Wrapping
  • Loading
  • Unloading
  • Packaging
  • Repackaging
  • Order picking
  • Loading/unloading on slip sheets
  • Labelling. This applies to all goods considered to be customs traffic.
• Goods can be delivered by road (truck and container).
• BCS Coldstore & Logistics uses electrically powered transport for moving goods internally so there are no harmful gas emissions and your goods suufer no loss of quality. Our equipment is serviced under maintenance contracts and is kept in top condition.
• At BCS Coldstore & Logistics we handle all types of goods: packaged and unpackaged, pallets (all types), loose bags and boxes, bulk deliveries etc.

Shock freezing

BCS Coldstore & Logistics has two shock freezing storages with a total capacity of 50,000 kg.
Shock freezing can be carried out at temperatures as low as -40° celsius and at an air speed of around 100 km/hr. This shock freezing process means we can guarantee the quality of the product, even in larger volumes.

• These shock freezing storages are also suitable for:
  • Short-term storage at extremely low temperatures (to -40° Celsius).
  • The warming of goods. The goods are warmed using a completely controlled process tailored to the characteristics of the product.

Transport

Incoming transport

• At BCS Coldstore & Logistics, we can arrange for national and international road transport for goods coming into our cold storage warehouses, as well as dealing with all the (inter) national accompanying documentation.
• We can arrange the removal of containers at various regional sea ports and transport these containers to BCS Coldstore & Logistics by road. BCS Coldstore & Logistics also can handle the BLs (Bills of Loading) and associated documentation.

Outgoing transport

• BCS Coldstore & Logistics can arrange road, water or air transport for outgoing goods, nationally and internationally, as well as dealing with all the (inter) national accompanying documentation.
